ABOUT AIG

The Applied Isotope Geochemistry (AIG) Working Group of the International Association of GeoChemistry (IAGC) has organized a series of highly successful biennial conferences focused broadly on the emerging fields of applied isotope geochemistry and biogeochemistry. Most recently, AIG-12 was held in Copper Mountain, Colorado, USA in September of 2017. AIG meetings feature a wide range of topical sessions, including light stable isotopes, clumped isotopy, and metal, radiogenic, and heavy isotopes. In 2017, the Council of the IAGC voted to combine Working Group meetings into a single IAGC International Conference. This meeting in Tomsk is the first of those meetings, and includes AIG-13 and WRI-16. This joint meeting will have the advantage of allowing greater interaction among IAGC scientists, and will streamline travel expenses for the many participants who regularly attend both working group meetings. The organizers of the AIG meetings are excited for the opportunity to join WRI-16 in Tomsk!
