All foreign participants[1] are required to obtain a visa to enter Russia.

Information on applying for visa to Russia in your country may be found on the VFS Global website. Please select “Russia” in “Visiting Country” line and your country in “Applying from” line from the left side of the website.

Please be aware that in accordance with Russian migration rules, Conference's participants need to hold the HUMANITARIAN  VISA.

It is strongly prohibited for Touristic visa holder to visit and participate in Conference sessions. According to Russian Migration law the passport should be valid 6 months further after the visa expiry date. For humanitarian visa passport should not expire earlier than 18 months since the visa entry date.

Tomsk Polytechnic University will provide a visa support document (official visa invitation) for all WRI-16 and AIG-13 participants and accompany persons needing one.

Please attach all necessary documents in your profile. You must include:

  • Application form.

  • Scanned copy of your passport. A copy of two front pages is required.

Please note that all official invitations to Russia are processed by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Federal Migration Service. Therefore, it takes some time for the Organizing Committee to generate the invitation letter (from 5-7 up to 40 working days).

We highly recommend that participants start the visa process well in advance (at least 2 months).
